THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
Since I posted my first cheesy woodworking video on YouTube (way back in 2011), I’ve been touched by all the folks who have left comments and sent emails about how they have laughed, learned and been inspired by Stumpy Nubs Woodworking. Many ask how they can support our continuing efforts to educate the next generation of woodworkers. Of course, the best way to show your support is to continue to watch, read and learn. Subscribe to our YouTube channel, and to our e-magazine so you never miss anything. And leave comments and thumbs-up on our YouTube videos. These things mean a great deal to me!
Of course, financial assistance is very important. It is astoundingly expensive to produce high-quality woodworking videos on a regular basis. We buy many tools just to review them for you. We build projects we don’t personally need so we may teach you new skills and techniques. And we spend a great deal on electronic equipment and labor to write, film and edit each video we produce.
Many of you realize the expense incurred in producing all this free content and you are moved to ask how you may offer financial support. This generous outpouring of appreciation is very meaningful to me and I don’t take your financial support lightly! In fact, I insist that you get something more in return than just the promise of more free videos. That’s why we do not solicit donations through Patreaon or other direct payment services. Instead, we offer a selection of products and services in addition to our free content, so you may support us by buying things you want, rather than just giving us money.
Please consider the following options carefully, and if you feel you want to offer financial support, select one or more. I know money doesn’t grow on trees, so thank you so very much for your generosity!
Sincerely,
James Hamilton

Support our Sponsors
We choose our sponsors very carefully! Each one must meet our high standards for product quality and customer service. We don’t partner with mattress companies or cell phone aps that aren’t relevant to our audience. If we don’t use the product, we don’t push it on you just to make a buck. So you may be sure that every sponsor below is worth checking out. Please visit them from time to time to see what’s new. Even if you don’t buy anything, your visit makes a difference! You may also visit our workshop tour page to see which specific tools we use the most in our shop.
Our sponsors (click the brand names to visit their websites)
Bora Tool– They make an excellent guide system for circular saws and routers that’s ideal for people without a dedicated workshop, or who need a way to break down large sheet goods. Their clamps are among my favorites, and their Portamate mobile tool bases are the best around.
Bridge City Tools- There may not be a brand in the world making hand tools of higher quality. Everything from Bridge City is a cleverly designed, carefully engineered work of art. I’m not kidding. Look for yourself! Their hand powered table saw (Jointmaker Pro) is not to be missed!
Bits&Bits– They specialize in bits for CNC and milling machines, but also carry a limited selection of Whiteside router bits with their special Astra coating for extended cutting life. They are also where I buy Festool products.
Carter and Son- The best wood turning tools in the world, not just because they are made from hi-tech steel with uncompromising quality, but also because they are a small family business with exceptional service. Just good people!
Castle USA- If you use pocket hole joinery frequently, you absolutely must check them out. Their spindle-based machines cut a cleaner, steeper angled pocket that all but eliminates slippage when you drive the screws. Way better than other jigs, in my opinion!
ClearVue Cyclones– When you’re ready to step up your dust collection a serious way, I recommend the only cyclone based upon the revolutionary design of dust collection guru, Bill Pentz. Use discount code NUBS5
DuraGrit– Makers of carbide sanding discs and other abrasive tools that last much, much longer than standard sandpaper. Great for shaping and leveling. I especially like their sanding blocks!
Fisch Tools– This timeless Austrian company is the only one still forging their forstner bits! Everything they make is of the best quality. No compromises.
Harvey Machinery- For decades some of the best woodworking machines were made by Harvey. You just didn’t know it because they were marketed under other popular brands. Now Harvey has stepped out of the shadows and released a series of top quality tools with their name on the front. I LOVE their band saws!
Hedgehog Featherboards- You wouldn’t think something as basic as a feather board could be revolutionized. But that’s that these folks have done. Every shop should have at least two of these things.
iGaging- I usually shy away from inexpensive tools, but this brand’s digital gauges, measuring devices, machine setup tools, combination squares and more are of excellent quality, truly useful and often specifically designed with woodworking in mind.
In-Line Industries- The inventor of The Dubby Sled for precision miter cuts, and several clever ideas for getting the most out of even an inexpensive table saw. Another great small business!
ISOtunes- Bluetooth earbuds that also function as ANSI certified hearing protection. I love these because I can listen to music or a podcast and when the time comes to use a noisy tool or machine, I don’t even have to think about protecting my ears.
M-Power Tools- A small company with some very clever ideas! Their multi-function router base is wonderful, and I love their innovative chisel sharpening jig!
My Wood Cutters- This is my go-to place for jointer and planer blades. They have the hard to find HSS versions, and they have the best prices on top-quality helical carbide cutter heads.
Narex- A Czech company that makes excellent chisels and other hand tools at affordable prices. Whenever I buy something new from them, I am astounded at the quality I get in this price range! (Proudly distributed by Taylor Tools)
Ridge Carbide- There are no better table saw blades for consumers. Not Forrest, not Amana, not anyone, in my opinion. They aren’t cheap, but they are less expensive than the aforementioned premium brands. Use discount code SNWJ10
Saburrtooth- Power carving is a LOT of fun! I use their carbide burrs in my Weecher and Dremel rotary systems, and their carbide discs for angle grinders are well suited to large sculpture (and better than the alternative, in my opinion).
Sawblade.com- They sell all sorts of woodworking and metalworking blades but I especially like their affordable, high quality band saw blades, and their awesome carbide-toothed metal-cutting chop saw.
Sjobergs– European beech workbenches made in Sweden for those who want to enjoy their craft now, and then pass their most cherished shop fixture down to their great-great-great grand kids.
Tormek- The best power sharpening system on the market, and for good reason. They make these in Sweden with only the best parts and materials. Some have tried to copy them, but nobody even attempts to match their high-quality, well engineered jigs.
Trend- They’re a top brand in the UK, and growing fast in the US. I trust them to provide the best diamond sharpening stones out there. And their dust mask is my hands-down favorite.
Whiteside- This family owned business has been making router bits in the USA for decades. I don’t know of any that are better.
Wood Turners Wonders- The name is fitting! They offer some very clever wood turning products, such as they Kodiak sharpening system (better than the Wolverine), their sanding products are designed with the turner in mind, and Ken is the industry-wide guru on CBN grinder wheels.
